Sawai Madhopur Police Constable Caught Accepting Bribe, ACB Confirms

The Anti‑Corruption Bureau’s Sawai Madhopur division announced the arrest of Constable Mohammad Nadeem Quraishi for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 70,000. The officer had earlier asked a local resident for Rs 1 lakh, threatening to frame him in a railway theft case. After the resident complained, the bureau arranged a meeting and collected the cash in a controlled environment.

The raid, led by Additional Superintendent Rameshwar Pihar and supervised by Deputy IG Omprakash Meena, resulted in the recovery of the money and the detention of the constable. Legal proceedings are underway, and the ACB urged the public to report any similar incidents.
