Election Commission Criticised by Sarang Amid Rahul Gandhi Allegations

Addressing media queries about Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the Election Commission, Sarang questioned the Congress leader’s understanding of constitutional bodies. He clarified that the Commission does not maintain a separate staff cadre; its orders are implemented by state officials such as clerks, teachers and Sub‑Divisional Magistrates.

Sarang further asked how Congress could win seats in states like Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka if the Commission were biased. He called for the party to reflect on its own electoral strategies instead of blaming institutional mechanisms.
