Sanskrit Shlokas Shared by Prime Minister Emphasize Values of Service, Courage, and Gratitude

In addition to lauding youth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a Sanskrit shloka on X that outlines eight virtues lighting the human path: intellect, moral conduct, restraint, knowledge, bravery, eloquence, charitable giving and gratitude. The Hindi translation explained that intelligence clarifies direction, virtue purifies conduct, discipline maintains order, knowledge grants discernment, courage sustains resolve in tough times, and skillful speech brings societal respect. The verse further urges individuals to donate according to their ability and remain thankful for blessings.

Earlier on Tuesday, another shloka was shared, urging listeners to embrace truthful, beneficial speech and to live a life rooted in healthy habits, noble deeds and dedication to the public good.
