Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Nirupam has declared Mumbai fully prepared to roll out the red carpet for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit. In a candid conversation, he portrayed the PM as a beacon of nationwide development, with Mumbai set to reap the benefits through fresh infrastructure launches.
‘Mumbai’s transformation is underway, thanks to Mahayuti’s victories in civic polls. Corporators in saffron have sworn in, reflecting the people’s mandate,’ Nirupam elaborated. He expressed unwavering confidence in Modi’s projects enhancing urban amenities for all residents.
Turning to national pride, Nirupam passionately supported mandatory ‘Vande Mataram’ singing. ‘This 150-year-old anthem fueled freedom struggles; millions embraced martyrdom chanting it,’ he recalled. He lambasted Congress and allies for resistance, labeling it as anti-India and rooted in communal vote-mongering. ‘Loving Vande Mataram means loving the nation—no room for hatred,’ he emphasized.
Nirupam strongly denounced the Nashik coaching center assault by MNS activists. ‘Physics Wallah aids Marathi youth in competitive exams, yet MNS goons attacked under linguistic pretexts after electoral defeats,’ he said. ‘Maharashtra honors Marathi, but thuggery has no place. Police must act decisively.’
Addressing Sanjay Raut’s plane crash remarks on Ajit Pawar, Nirupam highlighted the tragedy’s impact on Maharashtra. ‘Pawar was a beloved figure; investigations are ongoing. Critics like Raut, who opposed him, now feign grief—pure hypocrisy,’ he retorted.
Nirupam’s statements paint a picture of a vibrant Mumbai poised for growth under Modi’s vision, united against divisiveness and lawlessness.
