Sangli’s Kupwara Neighborhood Witnesses Double Homicide Triggered by Waste Row

In the early hours of Saturday, a disagreement over garbage disposal on a doorstep in the Shyam Nagar Shanti Colony of Kupwara, Sangli, exploded into a lethal confrontation. The quarrel involved 45‑year‑old Mohan Nagappa Kesarkar, his 35‑year‑old spouse Manisha, and neighbour Farid Abdul Sheikh. Sheikh attacked the couple, inflicting life‑threatening injuries. Both victims were admitted to Miraj Government Hospital; Manisha died shortly after admission and Mohan died during treatment on Tuesday. Sheikh has been arrested and locals are demanding swift legal action.
