Sanatan advocates call for strict action against Pappu Yadav’s parliament stunt
Bihar MP Pappu Yadav staged a saffron‑clad protest inside the Lok Sabha on July 31, targeting the ongoing Ram temple idol theft case.
Sant Satyanand Das Vedanti, speaking to the press, said the MP and certain opposition leaders have “dishonoured society and Sanatan culture.” He urged the central authorities to impose the harshest possible penalty, cautioning that leniency would only increase the confidence of such offenders.
Swami Sachidanand Maharaj, the head priest of the Chitragupthadhishwar, called the incident “the greatest shame for the nation,” insisting that no parliamentarian entitled “Honourable” should insult the Parliament’s sanctity.
Swami Jitendranand Saraswati of the All India Saints Committee released a video stating that the Parliament must remain a holy, constitutional arena, not a platform for “anti‑national, Sanatan‑opposing” acts. He appealed to the President and Lok Sabha Speaker for the revocation of Yadav’s membership.
