Safety and Amenities Checked for Massive Pilgrimage Influx at Bodh Gaya

A multi‑agency briefing chaired by Assembly Speaker Dr. Prem Kumar reviewed safety and service measures for the upcoming pilgrimage fair. Officials reported work on fixing deficient lighting, expediting land‑record revisions and allocating plots to land‑less families. New pathways, repaired steps at the Dharmaranya altar and increased tree‑planting were discussed. A dedicated cleaning crew of 400 workers will service the corridor from the airport to Mahabodhi Temple, and parking zones for various vehicle categories have been earmarked near Kalachakra Maidan.
