Rumors of DMK-AIADMK Alliance Debunked as Fabricated

When asked about reports suggesting a possible power‑sharing arrangement between DMK and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Ilangovan dismissed them as outright falsehoods. He described the speculation as a "cinema‑style" drama with no grounding in political reality.

For more than five decades, DMK and AIADMK have been fierce rivals, alternating in government across successive election cycles. Ilangovan underscored that the two parties could not possibly collaborate to form a ministry given their long‑standing antagonism.

He warned that such misinformation is being spread to confuse voters and undermine the opposition’s credibility ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
