During his address at the Sindhu Education Society’s platinum jubilee, Mohan Bhagwat of the RSS underscored that the people who moved from Pakistan to India in 1947 made a conscious decision to cross the border. He said their migration was not the result of forced displacement, but a strategic choice to settle in a nation that respected their faith. Bhagwat added that calling them ‘refugees’ understates their resolve and the hardships they endured for the cause of liberty and cultural preservation.
