This move aligns with the vision for energy self-reliance. Essar will deploy advanced biorefinery tech to process non-food feedstocks like sugarcane bagasse. The facility promises to produce millions of liters of biofuel annually, cutting import dependence on crude oil. Gujarat’s investment-friendly ecosystem makes it ideal for such projects. The deal complements Gujarat’s ambitious RE portfolio, targeting 50% green power by 2030.
