Rs 411 Crore Development Push in Bithur, Bilhaur on Valmiki Jayanti

Kanpur: On the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Kanpur on Monday to give a major boost to infrastructure in the Bithur and Bilhaur constituencies. He will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 48 projects valued at more than Rs 411 crore.

Projects worth roughly Rs 266 crore will be dedicated to the public, while works worth about Rs 145 crore will begin with foundation ceremonies. Certificates will also be handed over to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes during the event.

The Chief Minister's programme starts at 11 am with his arrival at the Bithur helipad. He will then address a public meeting at Nanarao Park at 11:30 am. The park has been prepared with a pandal for the gathering. He will leave the venue at 12:10 pm. Administrative officers have reviewed the arrangements for the day.

The development plans for both constituencies cover roads, rural link routes, school infrastructure, training centres, government buildings and other essential facilities. Bilhaur will witness the inauguration of several road, village connectivity and education-related projects, while Bithur will see works in roads, education and public amenities launched.

The initiatives include road and link route construction, school buildings, training centres, and police and administrative facilities. These works are intended to make travel easier and provide citizens with improved basic services.

The Valmiki Jayanti observance will also honour the life, literary legacy and the Ramayana composed by Maharishi Valmiki. The event will underline the relevance of his values in society and the significance of social harmony, with special focus on the contribution of the Valmiki community.

A comprehensive security plan is in place for the visit. Nearly 500 policemen will be deployed at the venue and surrounding areas. Surveillance will be carried out by drones, and police officers have been assigned security responsibilities. Security and traffic arrangements cover the route from the helipad to the public meeting site. The administration aims to conduct the event in a safe and orderly manner, combining the religious and social significance of the day with a push for development in Bithur and Bilhaur.
