Application Window Open for RRB 2026 Junior Engineer and Depot Material Superintendent Positions

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced that the online application period for its 2026 recruitment drive is now live. A total of 3,993 posts are available, comprising 3,669 Junior Engineer (JE) vacancies and 324 Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) vacancies. These posts are being filled in 22 locations, ranging from Ahmedabad to Tirunelveli.

Candidates can start submitting their applications from 14 August 2024. The final date for completing the online form is 13 September 2024, while the deadline for paying the application fee is 15 September 2024.

Eligibility criteria require a three‑year diploma or a BE/BTech degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university or institute. The age window is 18 to 33 years as of 1 January 2027, with the usual age relaxations for reserved categories.

The selection procedure will consist of two Computer Based Tests (CBT‑I and CBT‑II), followed by short‑listing, document verification (DV) and a medical examination (ME). Successful candidates will be placed in Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, earning a monthly salary of ₹35,400 plus allowances.

The application fee is ₹500 for General, OBC and EWS candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST, ex‑servicemen, PwBD, women, transgender, minority and economically weaker sections.
