Road Crash Claims Life of Magistrate in Farrukhabad
Uttar Pradesh is mourning another road accident victim as a judicial magistrate died following a car crash in Farrukhabad district. The official’s vehicle reportedly lost steering control, collided with another automobile, and flipped over on a national roadway. Severe head injuries sustained during the rollover proved fatal, and she was declared dead at the site.
The victim has been named Sonam Chaturvedi. She was a resident of Chandikara village in Mainpuri and was currently deployed in Farrukhabad for her judicial duties. Emergency responders and police arrived quickly, collected the body, and opened an investigation to determine the crash’s cause. Two other individuals were hurt in the same incident.
This fatal accident follows closely on the heels of a major highway crash in Kushinagar district. On Monday evening, a van traveling near Tharuadih village (under Hatathana jurisdiction) rear-ended a truck. The collision instantly killed six people aboard the passenger vehicle.
According to district authorities, five of the deceased were from the same Kaptaunganj household. They had been returning from a familial event when the crash occurred. The van was totally damaged in the blaze of impact. Two survivors were first admitted to a nearby clinic, then upgraded to Gorakhpur Medical College for surgery and observation. Police have forwarded the deceased for autopsies and are documenting witness statements to piece together the timeline of these deadly incidents.
