RJD and SP lawmakers criticize Bhagwat's call for unity amid Muslim representation concerns

RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha and Samajwadi Party MP Avadhesh Prasad joined the chorus of criticism aimed at the RSS chief’s New York remarks.

Jha suggested that Bhagwat’s ideas should be taken back to Indian constituencies such as Nagpur and Zhandewalan, rather than being aired on Madison Square. He warned that without concrete action in India, the speech would remain a foreign spectacle.

Prasad invoked Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s constitutional vision, insisting that any government must honour the rights of every citizen to keep the fabric of unity intact. He called on Bhagwat to advise his own party leaders to respect the constitution’s pledge of equality.
