Ring Road Phase‑II and Water Supply Schemes to Debut During Modi’s Vadodara Stop

Vadodara is set to unveil major infrastructure upgrades during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on September 8. Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu confirmed that the city will inaugurate projects amounting to 35,000 crore rupees, including the second phase of the Ring Road and several water‑supply schemes.

The Ring Road Phase‑II aims to de‑congest city traffic and improve connectivity across the region. Simultaneously, new water‑supply initiatives will boost the availability of clean drinking water for residents, supporting long‑term urban growth.

These announcements are part of a broader, technology‑focused, corporate‑style event that brings together the central government, Gujarat state, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation and various state departments. Additional projects under railway and other central‑state partnerships will also be launched.

Around 6,000 citizens are expected to attend, reflecting strong public enthusiasm. The event will be the first government programme to use the ‘Book My Show’ platform for participant registration, offering a modern booking experience.

A special cleanliness drive, titled “Swachhata Se Swagat Abhiyan,” has already been carried out, and a “Namo for Vikasit Bharat” cyclothon was organized on September 6 to promote hygiene, healthy living, environmental protection and civic participation.
