Reward of ₹50,000 Offered for Moni, Accused of Child Rape, Leads to Fatal Police Standoff

Authorities in Bulandshahr announced a cash reward of ₹50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Moni, a suspect linked to the rape and murder of a minor girl. When officers attempted a routine check on August 9, Moni and an associate resisted, firing several rounds. The ensuing gun battle left one criminal critically injured and the other on the run. Police recovered a firearm, ammunition and a bike, while two officers from the SWAT unit suffered gunshot wounds and were hospitalized.
