Reservation policy should not be diluted by creamy‑layer debate, says BSP supremo

Mayawati warned that discussions about a "creamy layer" within reserved quotas threaten the very foundation of social justice in India. She pointed out that the core intent of reservation is to uplift the most disadvantaged sections of society, not to create new hierarchies among them.
