Rescue teams pull 100 people from floodwaters as relief camps set up

In a coordinated effort, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued close to one hundred individuals trapped in flood‑affected hamlets of Chitrakoot. Using small crafts and improvised rafts, volunteers navigated the inundated routes to extract families from their homes.

The rescued persons have been transferred to newly‑established relief camps where they receive food, drinking water, and basic medical assistance. The district administration is also conducting a damage assessment, focusing on structures that have partially or fully collapsed, and is planning rehabilitation measures for the affected populace.
