Rescue Operations Continue in Poonch and Rajouri as Heavy Rain Hits

Authorities deployed bulldozers and other heavy‑lifting equipment to clear debris and reopen access routes to isolated villages. In Surankot, nine people, including six members of a single family, have been confirmed dead, while another fatality was recorded in Haveli tehsil. Several individuals are feared to be buried under landslide material. Roads, bridges, residential structures and public utilities have suffered extensive damage across both districts.
