Repeated Exam Paper Leaks Tarnish Bihar’s Reputation, Says RJD Leader

Patna, August 19 – The recurring leakage of examination papers has become a persistent challenge for Bihar’s education system, according to RJD senior leader Tejashwi Yadav. He warned that each new incident chips away at the state’s credibility and harms thousands of aspirants.

Yadav cited complaints spanning from class‑10 matriculation and intermediate exams to various recruitment tests. The pattern, he said, indicates systemic lapses that enable dishonest actors to influence outcomes.

He referenced the Siwan crackdown, where police allegedly fired an AK‑47 at students protesting a paper leak, as a stark illustration of the government’s failure to address the root cause. Instead of engaging with the demonstrators, authorities chose a forceful response that only deepened public distrust.

The leader called for immediate reforms: stricter security protocols for question papers, independent monitoring bodies, and swift punitive measures against those responsible for leaks. He also urged the state to honor its promise of providing one crore jobs, asserting that the current employment landscape is marred by unkept commitments.

A march to the Raj Bhavan is scheduled for Wednesday, wherein students, teachers, coaching‑centre attendees, and others will unite to demand a transparent and accountable examination ecosystem.
