Skill Development Initiative Targets Renewable Power Workforce as India Aims for 500 GW by 2030
The launch of the Green Energy Center of Excellence in Bhuj marks a strategic push to build a qualified workforce for India’s renewable‑energy ambitions. With the national goal of reaching 500 GW of clean capacity by 2030, the demand for engineers, technicians, and automation specialists is soaring.
Adani Group’s ASE unit, together with Kutch University, will run structured programmes that mix theoretical instruction, simulation‑based training, and on‑site labs. Courses will cover solar and wind technologies, battery storage, micro‑grids, SCADA systems, and IoT‑enabled energy management.
Karan Adani emphasized that the centre will serve as a global benchmark, aligning skill development with industry standards and future market trends. Graduates are expected to find immediate employment in Adani’s own renewable projects as well as across the wider Indian clean‑energy landscape.
The effort also includes applied research and entrepreneurship support, encouraging students to develop innovative solutions for the green‑energy sector.
