Removed Panchayat Staff to Be Restored and Given Cashless Benefits

The state cabinet has approved a package that not only reinstates the Panchayat assistants removed during recent unrest but also provides a cashless salary disbursement system. The decision, clarified by Panchayat Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, aims to safeguard the financial security of over fifty‑seven thousand rural workers.

Each assistant will receive a monthly amount of nine thousand rupees, transferred directly to their bank accounts. The cashless mechanism is intended to reduce delays, prevent fraud, and align with the government's digital payment initiatives.

By restoring the dismissed staff and ending pending court cases, the government hopes to rebuild trust among grassroots officials and improve governance in villages.
