Remembering Partition: Sacrifice, Resilience and Hope

The Partition Remembrance Day ceremony highlighted the enduring spirit of those who endured loss of home, assets and kin during the 1947 division. Rajnath Singh praised the indomitable will of displaced families who, despite facing extreme adversity, chose to rebuild and participate in nation‑building. He called on citizens to honor the sacrifices of known and unknown heroes by fostering unity, social harmony and human empathy. The minister affirmed that the collective memory of partition should inspire a united India where diversity coexists with mutual trust.
