Religious Leaders Praise Local Relief Efforts Amid Chitrakoot Deluge

In the wake of massive floods in Chitrakoot, religious authorities have publicly lauded the coordinated work of district officials, police officials, and numerous charitable organisations. Swami Adhokshajnanand, who is observing Chaturmas at Govardhan, noted the relentless surge of the Mandakini River for eight days, which has thrown the region into chaos.

He urged all faith‑based institutions, hermitages, and service groups to maintain their momentum in delivering relief, food, and shelter. The monk also requested that the monsoon subside quickly, allowing the displaced population to return to normalcy and enabling sustainable reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure.
