Religious Head Warns Against Extremist Content in Jammu‑Kashmir Education Scheme

In a televised interview, Maulana Shahabuddin warned that the Integrated Education Scheme’s current textbooks contain detailed accounts of terrorist activities and glorify separatist icons. He described the inclusion of such material as "deeply regrettable" and highlighted the risk of shaping a generation that sympathises with extremist ideologies. Shahabuddin appealed to the education board to investigate the authors of these books, withdraw them immediately, and introduce revised versions that emphasize peace, national unity, and the spiritual heritage of Kashmir.
