Amit Shah Emphasizes Rehabilitation of Disabled Tribal Victims of Naxalism

Speaking to participants of the Bastar assistance programme, Amit Shah highlighted that ending Naxalism does not erase the suffering endured over the past fifty years. He called for a focused approach to heal the wounds of those who lost limbs, sight or hearing in the conflict. The minister recounted a beneficiary who, three years after receiving a prosthetic hand, could lift a glass of water on his own. Shah said such stories demonstrate the transformative power of prosthetic support, restoring both function and self‑respect. He pledged continued government commitment to locate every disabled tribal survivor and provide the required prosthetic solutions.
