Red Fort Metro Bombing: NIA Names 10 Terror Suspects in 7500-Page Chargesheet

In a significant development in one of Delhi's deadliest terror incidents, a special court at Patiala House will scrutinize the NIA's comprehensive chargesheet on June 4. The car bomb detonation near Lal Qila Metro Station on November 10, 2025, killed 11 innocent people and injured many, exposing vulnerabilities in urban security. Submitted on Thursday, the voluminous 7,500-page document indicts 10 operatives, with Umar Un Nabi identified as the primary plotter present in the explosive-laden vehicle. The list also features Aamir Rashid Ali, Jaseer Bilal Wani, Muazzamil, Adil Ahmad Rather, Mufti Irfan Ahmad, Dr. Shehn Syeed, Soyab, Bilal, and Yaseer Ahmad Dar. According to the chargesheet, these individuals were operatives of Al-Qaeda-affiliated Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGUH). A clandestine 2022 gathering in Srinagar relaunched the group under the ominous banner of Operation Heavenly Hind, scheming to destabilize India through major assaults. The probe details their radical agenda: toppling the elected government and enforcing Sharia governance. Legal accusations span UAPA, BNS, Explosives Act, Arms Act, and public property damage prevention laws. Forensic analysis confirms the use of homemade TATP explosives, synthesized from common chemicals. The terror cell was gearing up for advanced drone and rocket strikes, amplifying the scale of their ambitions. With 11 accused already detained, the NIA continues raids to capture fugitives. As the court date approaches, this case stands as a testament to India's resolve against jihadist threats, promising accountability for the lives lost.
