Ravindra Malhotra Calls for SP‑Congress Seat Share to Block BJP in Uttar Pradesh

Samajwadi Party representative Ravindra Malhotra outlined a strategic approach for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections, proposing a seat‑sharing arrangement with the Congress to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party from retaining power.

Malhotra emphasized that the Samajwadi Party can independently form a government in the state, but a joint front with the Congress would consolidate anti‑BJP votes. He suggested that senior leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi, negotiate the distribution of constituencies.

He also cautioned party figures against public statements on seat allocation until final decisions are made by the top leadership of both parties. The SP legislator highlighted the party’s robust booth‑level organization and its ongoing grassroots campaigns to mobilize voters.

In addition, Malhotra reiterated his demand for an impartial probe into the Ram Temple Trust’s finances following the appointment of former Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as CEO, urging that any missing assets be recovered under judicial supervision.
