Ratnesh Sadhu Criticises Opposition Over Flood Management and Student Rallies

Patna, August 24 — Minister Ratnesh Sadhu used his floor time in the Bihar Legislative Assembly to denounce opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav for allegedly attempting to confuse the electorate. Sadhu pointed to Yadav’s recent involvement in a student demonstration in Baghelpur, saying the politician often “disappears” during critical debates on public issues.

Sadhu reminded the assembly that the Ganga’s embankment breach is a seasonal challenge, and that his department, together with the Water Resources Department, is vigilantly monitoring water levels. He stressed that the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is already evaluating the extent of the damage and coordinating relief.

The minister pledged an immediate supply chain for essential relief materials—boats, dry rations, plastic covers, livestock feed, medicines, and communal kitchen provisions. He warned that opposition figures who surface only after legislative sessions risk misleading the masses, but assured that Bihar’s citizens are discerning.
