Senior BJP leaders marked the birth anniversary of the iconic poet Ramdhari Singh ‘Dinakar’ on September 23, acknowledging his towering contribution to Indian literature and national morale.

Home Minister Amit Shah posted a tribute noting that Dinakar’s pen blended the roar of freedom with profound human empathy, turning ancient legends into contemporary lessons through works like Rashmirathi and Kurukshetra.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed this sentiment, stating that Dinakar’s poems reinforce a sense of self‑respect, courage and devotion among citizens, continually guiding the nation’s direction.

BJP President Nitin Naik praised Dinakar’s literary fire for giving voice to the independence movement and later anti‑Emergency activism, shaping cultural pride and humane values.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju highlighted the poet’s influence on both popular sentiment and political discourse, stressing that his creations remain as relevant today as they were decades ago.

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri added that Dinakar’s writings still inspire every generation, infusing fresh vigor into the collective national psyche.

Minister Giriraj Singh lauded the poet’s “heroic rhythm”, citing Rashmirathi, Kurukshetra and Hunkar as timeless testaments to his dedication.
