Rapid Police Response Leads to Safe Recovery of Student After Alleged Abduction

Ranchi, September 7 – A swift police operation in Ranchi resulted in the safe recovery of Saurabh Paswan, the son of state legislator Janardan Paswan, after he was reported kidnapped near Emiti University. The complaint described three to four Scorpion‑type vehicles surrounding the campus gate, with the occupants allegedly beating the student and taking him away.

The victim’s mobile device was found turned off and his Thar vehicle remained at the university entrance. Senior police officials immediately formed several investigative squads, reviewed surveillance footage and began a systematic search of possible routes.

Within ninety minutes, officers traced the phone’s last signal and located Saurabh at the Assembly police station precinct, where he was freed unharmed. The police have begun a detailed interrogation of the student, his peers, and any potential witnesses to map out the exact timeline and verify the kidnapping claims.

The investigation also includes probing the accusations of assault made by the legislator, with final conclusions to be drawn after a complete forensic and testimonial review.
