Rapid military response saves tourists and locals in flood

The collapse of the Kulagad bridge threatened to trap more than three hundred people on the far side of a raging river. The Indian Army’s disaster relief team, in partnership with local authorities, acted within minutes. Using sturdy ropes and a portable stair system, soldiers guided each person one by one to a safe zone.
