A festive mood swept through Ranchi on Saturday when 132 local youngsters received appointment letters during the 19th job fair organised by the central government. The event formed part of a nationwide exercise that handed out more than 51,000 letters in a single day, pushing the cumulative total past the 12-lakh mark. Union Minister of State Sanjay Seth supervised the distribution for departments such as railways, defence and posts. In his address, Minister Seth said the drive reflects the administration’s commitment to translating promises into reality. He pointed to independent assessments showing that around 27 crore Indians have moved above the poverty line, calling it proof of inclusive development aimed at a developed India by 2047. The minister wished the new recruits a bright future built on honest work. The successful candidates shared stories of relief and renewed hope. One young man from Bihar described the letter as a proud achievement for his entire family. Another, who joined the railways, said the job arrived at a time when unemployment feels overwhelming. Both praised the transparent process that rewards merit. Legislator C.P. Singh noted that the fair has directly improved prospects for 132 families in the region and praised the Prime Minister’s consistent push for job creation.
