A major anti‑narcotics raid conducted by Rampur police in collaboration with the Special Operations Group on August 3 led to the recovery of 2.603 kilograms of smack, estimated to be worth around ₹1.5 crore in the international market. The seizure also included ₹71,000 in cash, eight mobile devices, two motorcycles and a scooter.
Sources close to the investigation say the arrested individuals have been supplying the drug to under‑age users in the region for several years. Police are now pursuing further leads to dismantle the entire supply chain and identify any additional participants linked to the operation.
