Ramleela and Ravan Dahan to Shift from Gandhi Maidan to New Site

After more than six decades of hosting the Dashhara celebrations at Gandhi Maidan, Bihar's government will relocate the Ramleela and Ravan Dahan ceremonies to a newly built arena near Marine Drive. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary confirmed that the shift will take effect once the three proposed fields are completed, with an expected deadline of March 2027.

The decision follows persistent requests from the Dashhara Committee Trust for a dedicated venue that can better handle the massive crowds and elaborate stage setups. The CM assured that logistical arrangements, including parking, sanitation, and security, will be integrated into the new site design.

The move is part of a broader strategy to modernize public spaces in Patna, enhancing the city's capacity to host large cultural and religious events while preserving the heritage of traditional celebrations.
