Bronze Medalist Ramit Tandon Joins ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally
Asian Games bronze‑medalist Ramit Tandon joined the “Har Ghar Tiranga” bicycle rally in Delhi, adding a sporting dimension to the event. Tandon praised the initiative, noting that the “Fit India” programme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inspired many to take up cycling. He remarked, “Seeing countless cyclists today reaffirms the importance of fitness for our nation’s progress."
Tandon emphasized that cycling is an environmentally friendly mode of transport, especially as fuel prices soar and traffic congestion worsens. He highlighted that bicycles require no fuel, emit no pollutants, and can alleviate pressure on city roads.
The rally also served as a platform to celebrate Independence Day, reminding participants of the freedoms won through struggle and the responsibility to preserve them through sustainable actions. Organisers hope that such mass participation will foster a culture of health and eco‑consciousness among Indian youth.
