Ramdev’s Sweet Gesture Aims to Heal Rift with BJP MP Kangana

Haridwar, August 28 – After weeks of public sparring, yoga icon Baba Ramdev chose Raksha Bandhan to extend an olive branch to BJP parliamentarian Kangana Ranawat. He mailed a box containing traditional Indian sweets, a Rakhi and a modest token of appreciation, stating that the act was meant to “abandon any enmity” and foster a spirit of brother‑sister camaraderie. Ramdev told journalists that he would also call Kangana to convey his wishes, emphasizing that personal disagreements should not translate into societal discord. The feud originated when Ramdev harshly criticised Kangana’s comment that labelled certain youth activists as “gutter generation,” a remark that led to a heated social‑media exchange. Both parties now appear ready to move beyond the controversy.
