Ramakrishna Ashram Highlights Vivek Smarak's Facilities and Educational Mission

The Ramakrishna Ashram in Davangere has released details about the expansive Vivek Smarak, which spans more than 81,000 square feet. According to Swami Tyagishwaranand, the complex includes a main building with an adjoining block, a state‑of‑the‑art 4‑D experience centre, an exhibition gallery, and a large amphitheatre capable of seating 700 guests.

Additional amenities feature well‑equipped classrooms, conference halls, a library, a reading room, meditation and yoga studios, and a retail book outlet. Special provisions are being made for students engaged in preparatory courses for national examinations.

The Swami emphasized that the centre is dedicated to preserving Swami Vivekananda’s legacy and promoting his ideals of character formation and nation‑building. He expects that the centre’s programmes will attract more than 10,000 learners from surrounding colleges and schools, fostering a new generation of informed and morally grounded citizens.

This initiative, he said, complements Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broader agenda of reinforcing India’s educational infrastructure and cultural values.
