Shaina NC Links Ram Temple Climbing Issue to Past Alliances, Demands Action

During a press briefing on July 5, Shiv Sena representative Shaina NC addressed multiple crises gripping Mumbai, from the relentless monsoon to a contentious religious dispute. She pointed out that the city’s heavy rain, which triggered a red alert, should be managed with innovative tools. Shaina proposed an AI‑based audit for every tree, mirroring the structural inspections performed on buildings, to pre‑empt hazards in each ward.

She shifted focus to the Ram Temple climbing controversy, accusing former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray of neglecting the matter after his 2019 political shift toward the Congress party. According to Shaina, Thackeray missed the invitation to the temple’s consecration ceremony, reflecting a lack of commitment to the faith community. She called for immediate action against those attempting to pilfer the site and stressed that moral responsibility must lead to resignations and accountability.

Regarding remarks made by Raj Thackeray against the present chief minister, Shaina asserted that the government holds ultimate accountability for finding solutions. She urged the opposition to join constructive dialogue rather than resort to finger‑pointing, emphasizing that Mumbai’s dense population demands collaborative problem‑solving.

Shaina also expressed condolences for the Ketan Aggarwal murder case, stating that a fast‑track court will ensure the truth emerges. She confirmed that the Special Investigation Team is actively probing the Ram Temple incident and that any officials found culpable have already tendered their resignations. In her view, the emerging India will not tolerate theft of faith or unchecked criminality.
