Rally Politics: BJP Questions Congress Plans Ahead of Delhi Event

Hyderabad, October 26: Ahead of a proposed Congress rally in Delhi on November 1, the Telangana unit of the BJP has launched a fierce attack on the opposition party, accusing it of trying to create disorder and misleading the public.

Telangana BJP president Ramchandra Rao said the Congress is creating a narrative against constitutional institutions, the government and the country. He claimed the rally is aimed at drawing attention away from the good reputation Prime Minister Narendra Modi has earned and from the welfare work his government is undertaking.

Rao alleged that the rally is being backed by individuals and organisations connected to enemy countries of India. According to him, the event is intended to cause chaos in the nation and is motivated by forces opposed to India. He added that such activities are harmful to the health of democracy in the country.

The BJP leader further said that the Congress, as an opposition party, has not been living up to its duty of solving people's problems. While the Prime Minister is working for citizens, he said, the Congress is attempting to negate these achievements through false narratives.

Rao also took aim at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who is expected to join the rally with 15,000 supporters. Comparing the move to the story of Nero playing the flute as Rome burned, he said farmers and ordinary people in Telangana are facing electricity and water shortages, with crops withering and residents struggling for water. In such circumstances, he argued, taking 15,000 people to Delhi reflects poor priorities.
