Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape is heating up as Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) leader and state minister OP Rajbhar gears up for a massive rally in Azamgarh on February 22. He confidently predicts an NDA victory across all seats in the region, traditionally an SP stronghold.
The event, billed as SBSP’s electoral launchpad, expects more than 10,000 influential Brahmins and supporters from diverse castes. ‘Azamgarh’s true allegiance will be revealed on the 22nd,’ Rajbhar told reporters, directly targeting SP’s self-proclaimed fortress status.
Rajbhar reflected on SP’s governance, alleging it favored one community in every sphere from employment to law enforcement, leading to public disillusionment. ‘On February 22, SP will sense the impending electoral storm,’ he warned.
Turning to the SIR controversy, he called out opposition parties for their duplicity—voicing dissent in streets and assemblies while grassroots workers participate covertly. He drew parallels to Bihar and foresaw repeats in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam as cover for losses.
On the Jabalpur violence, Rajbhar blamed anti-social elements plotting unrest to discredit the administration. For Rahul Gandhi’s Sultanpur court summons, he simply affirmed compliance with judicial directives.
This rally underscores SBSP’s growing ambitions within the NDA, potentially reshaping alliances and voter sentiments in eastern Uttar Pradesh ahead of crucial polls.
