Rajbhar Warns Akhilesh Yadav Over ‘Gate Rate’ and Calls for Meeting Halt

Lucknow, July 10 — In a fiery statement posted on X, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the SP leader serving as a minister in the state cabinet, targeted Akhilesh Yadav with accusations that his inner circle is siphoning money from SP workers who visit Yadav’s office for a photo or a brief meeting.

Rajbhar quoted complaints that workers are being asked to pay Rs 5,000 for a photograph and as much as Rs 10,000 for a handshake, describing the process as a “gate rate” that exploits party members. He suggested that the practice could ruin the Samajwadi Party’s reputation if allowed to continue.

The minister also referenced reports that Akhilesh Yadav’s wealth has multiplied nine hundred times, questioning why the leader would endorse such extra earnings from his own supporters.

Ending his post, Rajbhar urged the SP hierarchy to close the gate‑rate counter immediately, warning that failure to do so could cost the party dearly in the next electoral battle.
