Rajbhar Praises Modi-Shah for Championing Women’s Bill

Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape heated up in Ballia as Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, also president of Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party, targeted the opposition on multiple fronts including the Women’s Reservation Bill and SIR list controversies. In an IANS interview on April 11, he credited PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah as the only leaders who genuinely prioritized women.

For decades, Parliament echoed with discussions on women’s quota, but no party dared to enact it, Rajbhar lamented. With women making up 50% of India, their empowerment through one-third reservation in the House would empower them to champion their causes fiercely. This long-overdue step, he argued, would finally deliver justice.

Countering Congress’s census precondition, Rajbhar fired back: ‘They governed for six decades—where was their census then? Actions speak louder than words.’ This exchange highlights deep political divides.

Turning to UP’s SIR final list, Rajbhar ridiculed opposition dismay. ‘SP and Congress routinely faked inclusions of dead people before. Now they fret over resurrecting them for benefits,’ he said, alleging systemic fraud now curtailed.

On global unrest in the Middle East, Rajbhar aligned with Modi’s peace advocacy. ‘As visitors from Buddha’s soil, we promote harmony. Prioritize trade, development, and mutual growth over warfare,’ he urged, positioning India as a peacemaker.

He also jabbed at Mamata Banerjee, noting eroding public faith. Rajbhar’s statements signal robust defense of the government’s agenda against critics.
