Delayed salaries, pensions and hospital payments spark crisis in Rajasthan

According to Gahlot, the backlog includes salaries for state staff, pension payments for retirees, reimbursements for accident‑victim families, and hundreds of crores owed to private hospitals and diagnostic centres under the state health scheme. The Human Rights Commission has taken note, treating the issue as a rights‑based grievance. Several hospitals have threatened to scale back services, while families of accident victims have yet to receive the promised ₹5 lakh compensation under the Chiranjeevi/Ayushman scheme.
