A similar crackdown was carried out earlier in Rajasthan under the joint "Operation Shankar" led by NCB Jodhpur, the state’s Anti‑Narcotics Task Force and police. Teams raided the village of Nayawas in Kotda tehsil, Udaipur district, discovering roughly 7,577 cannabis plants spread over 9.4 bighas of land. Officials estimated that the seized crop could yield about 2,273 kilograms of marijuana, valued at approximately 11.76 crore rupees. The case has been registered and investigations are ongoing.
