Political Leaders Praise Voter Enthusiasm in Rajasthan's Local Body Elections

The final phase of Rajasthan's municipal elections is in full swing, with officials and political leaders commending the surge in voter participation. District Election Officer Kamar Chaudhary appealed to Bharatpur residents to turn out in large numbers, stressing that past elections have shown voters eager to cast their ballots when candidates actively engage with households.

State Minister Rajiv Rathore told reporters that the early voting percentages are encouraging, indicating that citizens now recognize the high value of each vote. He emphasized that elections, held once every five years, provide a crucial opportunity for the public to shape their future.

Minister Madan Dilawar observed long queues and a festive atmosphere at polling stations, describing the scene as one of excitement, joy, and civic pride. He urged voters to use their franchise responsibly and look forward to the upcoming selection of ward chairpersons on the 21st.

BJP MLA Anita Bhadel reported that the first vote in her area went to the party's lotus symbol and thanked her polling team for starting the process promptly at 7 a.m. She appealed to the electorate to prioritize voting over other activities.

Speaker Vasudev Devnani praised the "one state, one election" strategy, noting that it eliminates repeated code‑of‑conduct delays and allows citizens across Rajasthan to vote simultaneously. He participated in the democratic celebration himself, urging every city dweller to exercise their right.

Women voters in Sikar expressed hopes that elected representatives will focus on colony and ward development, including sanitation and essential services, and not wait five years to seek votes.

A first‑time voter shared her enthusiasm for participating in a municipal council election, hoping to elect a candidate with a clean image who can drive development, electricity, and cleanliness in her ward.
