Criticism mounts as Rajasthan's Fertilizer Sales Framework fails to reach growers

Jaipur, Sept 3 — The Fertilizer Sales Framework (FSF) introduced by the BJP‑led government was touted as a transparency tool to monitor stock and prevent leakages. Six months after its rollout, opposition leaders argue the opposite has happened.

Ashok Gahalot accused the “double‑engine” governance model of leaving Rajasthan’s agrarian sector short‑changed. He cited data showing that a considerable portion of the subsidised fertilizer allotment is being sent to Madhya Pradesh, while the same quantity remains unavailable to local producers.

The chief minister’s office responded that the digital system is still being fine‑tuned and that logistical challenges are being addressed. Agricultural department assistant director Rajesh Vijay described the glitches as “technical issues” that will be resolved with the upcoming app update.
