Within minutes, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav responded by questioning the Congress’s historical handling of education. He cited the modest ₹22,000 crore budget that the party allocated over its long tenure, contrasting it with the current administration’s ₹4.38 lakh crore plan for schools and higher‑education institutions.

Yadav also raised concerns about the Congress stance on women’s participation and the “Nari Vandan Act,” pointing to the absence of female ministers in the Karnataka cabinet, a Congress‑run state. The exchange turned the student forum into a broader political debate.
