Raghbir Nagar Youth Linked to ₹2 Lakh Scam and Stolen Gold Pendants

A 26‑year‑old man from Raghbir Nagar has been arrested by Delhi Police in connection with a ₹2  lakh fraud that resulted in the theft of valuable gold ornaments. The incident began when two boys approached a woman, promising to share a large sum of cash if she handed over her gold bangles and a pendant.

The woman, later identified as Rajbala, accepted the offer and received a packet of notes that turned out to be counterfeit. She reported the theft to Dabri police station on September 10, triggering an investigation that involved reviewing CCTV footage from a wide area.

The video evidence captured the suspects moving on foot toward the victim and later heading back toward the Raghbir Nagar locality. Police tracked the trail to Vishal, who was arrested together with a child in conflict with the law (CCL) who was found at the scene.

During the interrogation, Vishal handed over a pair of gold earrings, which were seized as evidence. The investigation remains active as officers continue to locate the missing gold pendant and any additional stolen items.
