Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Credits Infrastructure Boost for Char Dham Surge
Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the state’s upgraded infrastructure as the driving force behind the massive increase in Char Dham pilgrims this year. The deployment of modern medical units, reinforced road networks and reliable sanitation facilities has made the pilgrimage safer and more comfortable.
The administration’s emphasis on coordinated disaster management, real‑time traffic monitoring and ample parking has helped manage the massive crowds efficiently. These improvements were complemented by the central government's push for redevelopment of key shrines and the construction of all‑weather highways.
Dhami noted that the collaborative effort of police, health services, the SDRF and local temple priests created a seamless experience for every pilgrim. He reiterated the government's promise to keep each visitor’s journey secure, swift and pleasant.
The record‑breaking turnout, surpassing 5.6 million devotees, reflects both the faith of the pilgrims and their trust in Uttarakhand’s ability to deliver world‑class pilgrimage services.
